Efficiently rolled tea bags enable smaller packaging with the same content, creating an interlocking visual display when aligned across different flavors.
Zero Waste
This concept offers an innovative solution to the problem of oversized tea packages with excessive empty space. By using rolled tea bags, the same amount of content fits into significantly smaller packages. This not only reduces packaging waste but also decreases CO2 emissions through more efficient transportation.
Shelf Presence
A key component of this concept is a visual system where the image on the packaging continues across multiple boxes. Each side of the square packaging forms part of a larger picture. When the boxes are placed next to each other and oriented differently, they create a continuous, eye-catching overall image. This enhances visibility in retail, even with reduced package size.
Brand Identity
The design of the square tea boxes is a fundamental feature of this concept. Their unique size and shape form a distinctive appearance. Complemented by an appealing color scheme and a creative papercut design, a high level of brand recognition is achieved, setting the brand apart from others.
Sustainability
The concept places a high value on eco-friendly materials. The packaging is made from compostable substances, such as tea bags from Abacá plant fibers and boxes from water-repellent, Polylactide-coated kraft paper. Although these materials are more expensive than conventional packaging materials, the reduction in packaging size by three-quarters balances out the costs. Additionally, a conscious decision is made to omit extra tags to further minimize the ecological footprint.
Logo Design
The concept's logo, "0pac," stands for "0 Waste Pack" and embodies the commitment to zero-waste and zero dead space in packaging. It represents the characteristic square packaging, filled to the brim, showcasing efficient use of space and responsible resource management. This logo is designed for adaptability across a wide range of products, enhancing brand coherence and recognizability while emphasizing the ethos of complete space utilization and environmental mindfulness.
